ubuntu 下载安装软件速度很慢

我在VM虚拟机上安装了 ubuntu 12.04
我尝试用apt-get install 安装软件，下载安装速度慢，而且容易安装出错，导致安装失败。
但在VM上用 火狐浏览器 打开网页的速度并不慢，难道是软件源不好？？
source.list 内容如下：
## Major bug fix updates produced after the final release of the
## distribution.
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates main restricted
